Supporting athletic talent
In collaboration with the Valley Running Team, we are donating running shoes and clothing to Namibian athletes
We are delighted to be part of this wonderful initiative. During the training camps in Windhoek, the Valley Running Team noticed that many talented athletes were training barefoot or in unsuitable footwear. In previous years, they left their own sports shoes behind for these athletes, but this is no longer necessary.
Together with the Valley Running Team, we are contributing to the support of (young) athletes who may not have much at home, so that they can pursue their passion for sports. By donating new shoes and clothing, we provide them with the proper equipment to pursue their dreams and develop their talents.”
Namibian Championships
In the presence of the national television channel NBC Sports, five students have received new running shoes and clothing. Petrus, David, Willem, Emilia, and Charlotte, recently podium finishers at the Khomas Schools Sports Regional Athletics Meet, were selected for the Namibian Championships.
In addition to the gift to these five athletes, we have also donated shoes and clothing to the Operi & Sydney Child Foundation in support of their mission to make sports more accessible. Coach Grete Koens expresses her satisfaction: “We are pleased that we can contribute to the sport in this country in this way and hope to be able to do even more in the future.”
